Valley Celebrates Community Development
Wayne, N.J. - Monday, April 22, 2019 - Valley Bank celebrated the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey’s 30 Years of assuring that New Jersey’s residents have safe, affordable homes in thriving communities of their choice. Over 300 individuals attended to share their enthusiasm for the community development sector that contributes $500 million every year to New Jersey’s economy. This total includes contributions from the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program into which Valley has contributed over $4 million, most recently $350,000 in 2018.
Among the honorees, were Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, Michellene Davis, Esq., EVP, RWJBarnabas Health and Wayne Meyer, President, New Jersey Community Capital. Additionally, Joseph Della Fave, ED, Ironbound Community Capital and Barbara Dunn, ED Paterson Habitat for Humanity. The Rising Leader Award was presented to Carmen Gandulla, Director of Community Development for Jersey City.
