Valley Partners with New Jersey Citizen’s Action to Host Homeownership Seminars

SeminarValley and New Jersey Citizen’s Action welcomed over 50 first time homebuyers at two homeownership educational events offered at Valley’s Ferry Street Branch in Newark and Woodbridge Branch in June and July respectively.

New Jersey Citizen’s Action, a HUD certified Housing Counseling Agency and a HUD designated Fair Housing Agency, provided an overview of the homebuying process including pre-qualification vs. preapproval and fair housing and lending laws. Valley’s Residential Mortgage team spoke on Valley’s affordable mortgage products including Community Advantage with reduced fees and interest rates for qualified applicants. A robust Q&A followed each presentation and most participants signed up for depth Homeownership Counseling with New Jersey Citizen Action thereafter.
