Valley National Bank Sponsors La Casa de Don Pedro’s 11th Annual Festival de la Familia in Newark, New Jersey

Festival de la FamiliaWAYNE, N.J. – Thursday, August 30, 2018 - Held on August 25th in the heart of Newark’s Lower Broadway Community, La Casa de Don Pedro’s 11th annual Festival de la Familia celebrated Newark’s vibrant diversity and the strength of this historic community. Valley sponsored this free, family-friendly cultural and musical street fair that paid tribute to Newark’s rich Hispanic heritage, diversity and, unity with a special back to school theme. 

Valley associates volunteered on the event planning committee, donated boxes of school supplies and helped stuff over 500 backpacks distributed to Newark children as part of La Casa’s “Project Backpack” campaign. Retail Bank associates attended the event and shared information with families on Valley’s affordable products and services including Valley’s Kids First Savings Club Account and VNB® Community Checking.
