Pat Arnold Head-shotWhat inspires you in your career?

My Grandmother has been my inspiration. She was a true entrepreneur; a woman way ahead of her time. She started her own business in the 60s, which was unusual for that time. She worked day and night. She took her profits (yes she had profits) and invested in real estate. She had foresight/vision and GUTS!  A true INSPIRATION!

What is the most helpful advice you ever received?

Don’t let other people get to you! Shake it off – Turn the other cheek and just keep going. It’s just a temporary blip and this too will pass. Persevere!!! We sometimes let our sensitivities get to us and affect our judgement and actions. DON’T - Always do the right thing!

What excites you about small business?

Every business starts small. Small businesses can react quickly and operate without bureaucracy. They are responsible for their outcomes. And just maybe someday (if they want) can become a Fortune 500 Company.

What is your favorite Book?

To Kill a Mockingbird By Harper Lee - I was assigned this book for reading in the 8th Grade and couldn’t put it down. I later watched the movie and was engrossed. There were so many lessons I learned about humanity and decency – kindness – and it’s what’s on the inside that matters most!

What song puts you in a good mood?

Day Dream Believer by The Monkees - I can’t help singing at the top of my lungs!
