What you need to know

Congress recently authorized a second round of economic impact payments to households. And while there are many similarities to the one that was paid last spring, there are some important differences to note. You can learn more and get the status of your payment at the IRS website. This page will be updated frequently by the IRS.

When will the second stimulus payments arrive?

Payments should start being distributed in the coming days. Those who receive paper checks or debit cards instead of direct deposits will have to wait slightly longer. You can check to see if your payment has already been deposited into your account using our mobile app, online banking or phone banking.

Important Note: As a result of an Internal Revenue Service error approximately 15-20 million individuals who were expected to receive their economic impact payments through automatic deposit into their accounts will receive payments via paper check instead. You can find out more information at  the IRS website.

The amounts are based on 2019 incomes. Those who filed their 2019 tax returns will receive their money automatically, as well as Social Security recipients and those who uploaded their bank account information using the IRS's online portal to receive their first payments.

We advise you to consult with your tax advisor and visit the IRS website to determine your eligibility and the status of your payment. Unfortunately, our Customer Call Center or branch staff do not have access to this information.
