Valley's Privacy Policy
Valley National Bank (“Valley,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) respects your privacy. This policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes how we gather information from you when you visit this Valley National Bank online interface (i.e. desktop website, mobile website, or mobile application) and any of Valley’s affiliate or subsidiary online interfaces that link to this Privacy Policy (each individually, a “Site,” and, collectively, “Sites”). Information we may collect and how we collect it
In certain circumstances, your use of various parts of our Sites may necessitate that you provide us certain personal data. Personal Data is information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you (“Personal Data”). Examples of Personal Data may include, but are not limited to, your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We may request Personal Data from you when you register on our Sites and/or in connection with other online products we may make available on our Sites from time to time. In such cases, we will collect Personal Data from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. We will not sell or share your Personal Data unless you give us permission to do so or as otherwise contemplated in this Privacy Policy.
You are not obligated to provide us with Personal Data in order to visit our Sites. However, if you choose not to share certain requested information, you may not be able to access or use certain parts of our Sites or use one or more of our online products.
We use “cookies” to collect certain information to enhance your experience when you visit our Sites. Cookies are small pieces of data that a website stores on a user’s device so that their device will “remember” certain information in connection with their visit. Cookies also help provide the Sites additional functionality and help us more accurately analyze Site usage. How we may use your information
Valley uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a particular reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with such reason. For instance, we will use the Personal Data you provide to register on a Site(s) in order to provide access to certain parts of such Site(s). Valley also uses your Personal Data and other information collected from the Sites to help us improve the Sites and our products and services, including, without limitation, to respond to your inquiries and requests, or to allow you to take advantage of certain of our Sites’ functionalities and or features within our Sites by granting us access to information from your device such as geolocation when you make applicable requests (ex. when you are searching for an ATM nearby using your mobile device).
Valley may store information itself or it may be included in databases owned and/or maintained by Valley’s service providers. Sites may use such information in connection with other information to track, for example, the number of visitors to our Sites and to certain pages of our Sites, and the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers.
Online advertising
We may work with certain third-party service providers to display ads for us on other locations on the Internet. As part of these services, such service providers may use certain of your information to serve you customized advertisements for Valley that are geared towards your interests or preferences, which is commonly known as “Online Behavioral Advertising,” or “Interest-Based Advertising.” We may also work with such service providers to analyze the performance of these efforts. How we may share your information
Valley is not in the business of selling your information. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without notice to you including those set forth below:
To our Affiliates and Subsidiaries: Like many companies, Valley may share your information, including your Personal Data, with its related entities for internal business purposes.
If Required by Law or an Emergency Situation: Valley may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary in certain urgent circumstances.
Consultants and Other Such Third Parties: Like many companies, Valley sometimes hires other companies to perform certain services in connection with Valley’s business. Examples include mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
Advertisers. In addition to any other advertising practices described in this Privacy Policy, Valley may aggregate your Personal Data with Personal Data of others and disclose such information to advertisers and other third parties for marketing and promotional purposes. In these situations, Valley will not disclose to these entities any personally identifiable information.
Business Reasons: Like many companies, Valley might divest or purchase businesses and/or assets. In the event of such a corporate event, Personal Data might be transferred.
No collection from children under the age of 13
Valley does not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age of 13 through the Sites. If you are under 13 years old, please do not give us any Personal Data. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing their children to not provide Personal Data on the Sites without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child below the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to Valley on any Site(s), please contact us promptly, and we will endeavor to remove that information.
Links to other websites
This Privacy Policy applies only to relevant Sites and not to any third-party sites or any other Valley sites as may be described herein. If you have questions or concerns regarding those other sites, we suggest that you contact those sites directly for information on their policies.
Data security
We have put reasonable security measures in place that are intended to protect against the loss or misuse of Personal Data that we have collected through the Sites. However, like most businesses, we are unable to provide a guarantee that the security measures we take cannot be circumvented or breached.
Changes to this privacy policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date stated at the top of this policy. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, and will post any such changes on our Sites. Please be aware that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, our use of information is governed by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time we use the information. California Consumer Privacy Statement
This California Privacy Statement (“Statement”) supplements Valley’s Privacy Policy. It applies solely to California residents and addresses personal information we collect online and offline. This Statement does not apply to Valley’s personnel.
This Statement uses certain terms that have the meaning given to them in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020) and its implementing regulations (collectively, the “CCPA”).
Please note that personal information (including “sensitive personal information” as defined under the CCPA) we collect in connection with Valley products or services you obtain for personal, family or household use, including your personal account with Valley, is not subject to the requirements of the CCPA because such data is already protected under existing federal and California state privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. 6. California Consumer Privacy Rights
You have certain choices regarding our use and disclosure of your personal information, as described below.
Access: You have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we disclose to you the personal information we have collected, used, disclosed and sold or shared (for cross-context behavioral advertising) about you.
Correction: You have the right to request that we correct the personal information we maintain about you, if that information is inaccurate.
Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete certain personal information we have collected from you.
Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing (for cross-context behavioral advertising) of your personal information.
Shine the Light Request: You also may have the right to request that we provide you with (a) a list of certain categories of personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year and (b) the identity of those third parties.

You may also broadcast the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. If you use the GPC, we will process it for your browser, but it will not apply outside of that browser to your device, account, or offline sales or sharing. After using the GPC, if you clear your cookies in your browser, you will need to use the GPC again for us to process your opt out for that browser.

Verifying Requests. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your personal information or complying with your request. If you do not have an account with us and you request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, we may require you to provide any of the following information: full name, home address, date of birth, and email address. In addition, if you do not have an account and you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of personal information, we may require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the California resident whose personal information is the subject of the request. If you designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf (a) we may require you to provide the authorized agent written permission to do so, and (b) for access, correction and deletion requests, we may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
Additional Information. If you choose to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may charge a reasonable fee to comply with your request.
