I’m writing to you because I share and appreciate your concerns about the new coronavirus (COVID-19). I want to assure you that the entire Valley family stands with you at this time of uncertainty. Our top priority is the safety and health of our customers and associates. We’ve been carefully monitoring the situation on a daily basis and have assembled our Pandemic Planning Teams that are meeting regularly to monitor potential risks to you and our associates.

  

How we’re preparing

We’re communicating directly with local health officials and following the guidance provided by federal agencies and the CDC. We’ve also taken preemptive measures to restrict business travel and provide our colleagues with best health practices. 

  

We already have plans and processes in place that enable us to conduct business 24/7 to ensure that your banking needs continue to be met. Our technology enables many of our associates to work offsite if it becomes necessary to promote social distancing and ensure all banking operations continue to run smoothly. Also, to help reduce the spread of the virus, we’re reducing the number of face-to-face meetings and relying on video and voice conferencing. 

   
 

Ensuring the safety of our customers and associates

In our branches, we’re taking steps to disinfect public spaces and are providing hand sanitizer for customers and associates. We’re preparing designated drive-thru locations to conduct business in case of widespread branch closures. We’re continuously restocking our ATMs to ensure you have access to your money as you need it.  Our retail associates will have access to gloves and other preventive measures as needed.   Most importantly, we have instructed our associates to stay home if they don’t feel well.
