  • Account Management

    Q: How do I change my address?

    A: You can submit a signed request, stating your name, account number, old address and new address by either fax email, or mail. Fax your request to 973-694-2711 or, send a secure email through our online banking service. If you’d like to mail in your request, you can send it to:

    Q: How can I view my CD statements online?

    A: You can view your CD account online through Personal Online Banking. If you’re not already registered, you can easily do so by visiting Please note that Valley does not offer electronic statements for Certificates of Deposit (CD) accounts at this time, but this feature will become available in the near future.

    Q: How do I close an account?

    A: If you need to close your account, you can visit any of our convenient branch locations or email a signed request to with instructions. Your request will be forwarded to the originating branch to close the account.

    Q: How do I order my checks?

    A: All you have to do is click here and select Reorder Checks. You can also contact your local branch to place an order.

    Q: How can I make a loan payment?

    A:  There are a few ways to make payments on your loan. You can:

    • Make online payments from any domestic bank checking account or debit card quickly and conveniently at

    • Use your Valley Checking or Statement Savings account to transfer payments to your loan for immediate posting or set up recurring transfers for future dates at Our Telephone Banking automated system can also be used to make transfers to your loans.

    • Set up an auto debit from your checking account at Valley or any other U.S.-based financial institution. To set this up, just contact Customer Service at 800-522-4100 or visit one of our conveniently located branches. For calls made from outside the U.S. and Canada, please call 973-305-8800.

    Q: What are the deposit limits for using remote deposit on Valley’s consumer mobile banking app?

    A: If you're using remote deposit, keep in mind the following limits:

    • $10,000 per item limit;

    • $10,000 per day limit; and

    • $30,000 per rolling 30-day limit.

    Q: Are there any fees associated with my debit card while I am traveling abroad?

    A: If you’re traveling, there are certain international fees associated with international debit card transactions. Keep in mind the following fees:

    • A 3% international service fee is assessed of all international transactions, regardless of whether there is currently a conversion associated with the transaction.

    • A $5 fee is assessed on international ATM and a $3 point-of-sale transactions fee for which your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is used to authorize the transaction.

    Make sure to contact Customer Service at 800-522-4100 to notify us of your travel plans and ensure that you will have access to debit card usage in the country that you will traveling to. For calls made from outside of the U.S. and Canada, please call 973-305-8800.


    Q: Can I purchase a savings bond at any Valley branch?

    A: ​As of January 1, 2012, savings bonds are no longer sold at financial institutions. You can purchase a U.S. Savings Bonds by visiting or by calling 800-USBonds.


    Q: How do I stop payment on a check?

    A: You can stop a check through Valley Personal Online and Mobile Banking App. To request a stop payment on a physical check that was written from your checkbook, you can also call Customer Service at 800-522-4100 or place a stop payment via online banking or by visiting any of our  conveniently located branches.

    If the payment was made using Valley’s Online Banking Bill Payment service, please contact the Personal Online Banking Department directly at 800-522-4100 extension 3012 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (Eastern Time). For calls made from outside of the U.S. and Canada, please call 973-305-8800.


    Q: How do I request a lien satisfaction, duplicate title, or make a name or state change for my automobile?

    A: We use MyTitleSupport as our service partner to fulfill Lien Satisfaction, Duplicate Title, Name Change and State Change requests. Place a request by visiting  Please note, a fee will be charged for this service, so please have your credit or debit card information available along with your Vehicle Identification Number. You can also place your request by calling MyTitleSupport at 888-740-2168 Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern Time and an additional telephone support fee will be charged for this service.
